2017 Mazda CX-5 Engine Options and Specs
All 2017 CX-5 models are powered by the same SKYACTIV®-G 2.5-liter engine and six-speed SKYACTIV®-DRIVE automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard on the CX-5 but Mazda’s predictive i-ACTIV® all-wheel drive is available on all trim levels. Mazda’s all-wheel drive system is predictive which means it reads the road, engine, transmission, weather, windshield wiper use and other conditions more than 200 times per second to determine torque transfer. It uses 27 different sensors that feed to a central control module to determine how wheels need to be driven.

2017 CX-5 Safety Features
The 2017 Mazda CX-5 Touring model offers customers the optional I-ACTIVSENSE® package which adds High Beam Control, Lane-Departure Warning, Lane-Keep Assist, Mazda Radar Cruise Control and Smart Brake Support. Other available safety features on the CX-5 include Active Driving Display with Traffic Sign Recognition, a rearview camera, and Smart City Brake Support.
