While most automakers have already released their compact sedans for the 2019 model year, Mazda had a little extra work to do to make sure it was ready for the roads. The wait has been well worth it, as we are seeing some notable changes to the performance as well as the interior comfort and convenience. We’ll start things out under the hood. The SKYACTIV®-G engine options have been revised, allowing for 2.0L or 2.5L options. The SKYACTIV®-X engine will also be available, providing an industry-first breakthrough that optimizes fuel efficiency and performance for an exceptional driving. If that wasn’t enough, there’s also an available diesel engine in the SKYACTIV®-D 1.8L engine. Transmission options include the 6-speed manual or the 6-speed automatic. All-wheel drive is also available to drivers.
