Volkswagen I.D. Buzz Concept Specs and Features
Volkswagen introduced the new future of the Microbus, the I.D. Buzz and much like the I.D. concept that was presented late last year, it is another new Volkswagen vehicle that gives a sophisticated design to electric mobility and reflects a change in the brand and its models. The I.D. Buzz concept is a zero-emissions vehicle that displays a new generation of elements and features. Inside the I.D. Buzz there is seating for up to eight passengers and has two luggage compartments. It will feature a fully autonomous “I.D. Pilot” driving mode, and during this mode, the driver’s seat can be turned 180 degrees to face the rear.
I.D. Buzz Interior Features
The interior will seem like a family room type setting where passengers are able to work and relax. The classic cockpit doesn’t exist in the I.D. Buzz and instead of a traditional dashboard it features a touch-sensitive steering wheel, augmented reality head-up display, and I.D. Box center console including a tablet usable outside the vehicle. As soon as the driver’s seat is occupied, the steering wheel extends out and it lights up simultaneously. To start the I.D. Buzz, press the brake pedal and select a gear. It is shut off by the “P” button on the steering wheel and when finished, the steering wheel retracts flush into the cockpit panel.
VW I.D. Buzz Driving Range and Engine Specs
The Volkswagen I.D. Buzz will have an all-electric driving range of up to 270 miles, compared to gasoline vehicles. It will also feature electric all-wheel drive with two motors and produce 369 horsepower. It will also feature a fully autonomous driving capability which is called I.D. Pilot.
