What’s New on the 2017 Volkswagen Jetta?

There were many changes brought to the popular Volkswagen Jetta for the 2017 model year. The 2017 VW Jetta has been simplified to just four models, S, SE, SEL and SEL Premium which is only sold to order. The 2017 VW Jetta GLI will also now only be offered in the high-value SE trim. The base S trim gets a standard rearview camera added to its lineup of features and new driver assistance features were added to lower trim levels. The following are new standard features found on each of the 2017 VW Jetta’s models.  

Standard Features on the 2017 VW Jetta Trims

The base S trim adds 16-inch steel wheels as standard as well as a rearview camera, LED DRLs, two-tone cloth seats, with the option of 16-inch aluminum alloy-wheels and a cold weather package which adds heatable washer nozzles and front seats.

The midline SE trim adds VW Car-Net connectivity, a sunroof, LED DRLs, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter knob, Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Traffic Alert and V-Tex leatherette seating surfaces with rear pass through functionality.

The SEL trim gains a power driver’s seat, LED DRLs, exterior chrome accents, Climatronic automatic dual-zone climate control, Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking and Adaptive Cruise Control.

The Top SEL Premium gets Bi-xenon headlights with Adaptive Front Lighting System, LED DRLs, Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking and Adaptive Cruise Control.

While there is no word yet of an official release date for the 2017 VW Jetta, we can probably expect the 2017 Jetta to begin arriving to dealerships in late summer or fall.
