Volkswagen Debuts New Engine for Updated Tiguan

2018 Volkswagen Tiguan Engine Options

The 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan debuted just a few months ago and with it brought lots of updates that many customers are excited about. The long-wheelbase Tiguan increases cargo space up to 57 percent and there is now the ability of a third row for additional seating. Other updates for the new 2018 Tiguan include high-tech infotainment and driver assistance features.  

The new Tiguan will also be powered by an updated version of Volkswagen’s 2.0-liter turbocharged and direct injection TSI engine. The new engine uses an innovative modification to the conventional four-stroke cycle to offer an improved combination of power, efficiency, and responsiveness.

The new 2.0-liter TSI engine will be the only powertrain offered in the 2018 Tiguan and it will later be offered in other Volkswagen models.

2018 VW Tiguan Performance Specs

The 2018 VW Tiguan will also feature available 4MOTION with Active Control while allows the driver to customize their driving mode to the current terrain from rough to snowy. The 4Motion all-wheel-drive system transfers torque between the front and rear wheels. In normal driving conditions, power is delivered to the front wheels but 4MOTION can also send torque to the rear axle when it is needed.

The all-new Volkswagen Digital Cockpit puts advanced digital information right in front of the driver. Choose from views like Classic, Off-Road, Driver Assistance or Navigation for enhanced driving.
