Active Safety Features in the 2017 Mazda CX-5

Signs such as speed limit, stop, Do Not Enter, etc. will all be displayed within your line of view in the Active Driving Display.
Mazda Radar Cruise Control
Cruise control is a convenient feature, but sometimes it can be frustrating when the car in front of you isn’t moving at a consistent speed which can render the feature useless. With Mazda Radar Cruise Control, the CX-5 will monitor the speed of the vehicle in front of you. If the vehicle stops, the CX-5 will also stop and then resume driving once you’re ready to go.
Smart City Brake Support
This feature is aimed at anticipating quick braking. It will detect items in front of you and adjust the brake pads so that if something is in front of you and you need to brake, you can do so with a quicker response from the vehicle.
Smart Brake Support
Similar to the Smart City Brake Support, this feature works at higher speeds by sensing traffic and alerting the driver when braking is necessary. If the driver fails to brake in time, the system will brake for you and engage automatic brake control if the collision seems to be imminent.
