Who doesn’t like a big dish of barbeque? If that sounds like you, you might like the Big Gig BBQ taking place at Henry Maier Festival Park. All the best BBQ joints in Milwaukee will be present, serving up their best dishes while live bands play. There’s even a bacon eating contest!

Perhaps you’re more into the traditional scene. Attend the free Laborfest event in Downtown Milwaukee. There will be a parade at 11 a.m. leading to the Summerfest grounds, where spectators and attendees can enjoy a classic car show, live music, food, and plenty of other entertainment options.

If you’re a big-time athlete, you might like what’s offered at the Wisconsin Highland Games. Fair warning: it’s not your traditional pick-up basketball or football game.
