Neither the 2019 VW Passat nor the 2019 VW Arteon offer an engine alternative to their standard drivetrains but the 2019 VW Arteon receives standard 4MOTION® All-Wheel Drive (AWD) on all but its base trim while the 2019 Volkswagen Passat does not offer AWD on any of its trim levels.
There is seating for five people in the 2019 Volkswagen Passat and 2019 VW Arteon but the 2019 Passat provides them with 102 cubic feet of overall passenger space while the 2019 Arteon only has 96.2 cubic feet of passenger room. Both the 2019 Passat and Arteon get loaded with standard V-Tex leatherette-trimmed seats and heated front seats as well. The 2019 Volkswagen Arteon also receives standard Climatronic® three-zone automatic climate control while the 2019 VW Passat only gets dual-zone Climatronic® climate control above its base trim level
A 6.3” touchscreen with Bluetooth® connectivity and the Volkswagen Car-Net® App-Connect is standard in the 2019 VW Passat and the 2019 VW Arteon gets a standard 8” touchscreen as well as a 3-month subscription to SiriusXM® radio. The top trim level of the 2019 Volkswagen Passat also gets equipped with a remote engine starter, interior ambient lightning, and a Fender® audio system and the top trim of the 2019 Arteon adds ventilated front seats, heated outboard rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and a Dynaudio® sound system.
