2020 Mazda CX-5 Trim Comparison: Sport vs Touring | Milwaukee
The 2020 Mazda CX-5 has been winning Best Crossover of the Year awards left and right. And that comes as no surprise. The 2019 CX-5 received similar accolades. Mazda itself won US News and World Report’s Best Car Brand of 2020 award, marking the fifth consecutive year the company has won the award.
Today, we’ll be comparing CX-5 trims and their features. Here’s our comparison for the CX-5 Sport and the CX-5 Touring.
New Crossover SUV near Milwaukee
The 2020 Mazda CX-5 Sport is the base trim, however, it’s anything but basic. It has a 2.5-liter SkyActiv-G four-cylinder engine that puts out 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired with the refined Mazda six-speed automatic. FWD is standard, but AWD is available. The CX-5 Sport comes with the Mazda Connect infotainment system. Included is a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity, two USB charging/input ports, and an HD radio. Integrated navigation is available. Standard safety features forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and low-speed automatic emergency braking, as well as lane departure warning with lane-keep assist. Also standard are blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and adaptive cruise control. Rear parking sensors are available.
The 2020 Mazda CX-5 Touring is the next trim up. It has the same 2.5-liter Skyactiv-G engine and the same six-speed automatic. Similarly, FWD is standard; AWD is available. The CX-5 Touring has all the same features that the CX-5 Sport does and then some. Additional standard features include the coveted Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, more USB ports, and dual zone automatic climate control. Heated front seats and synthetic leather upholstery are also standard. The Preferred Equipment package adds a 10-speaker Bose premium sound system, as well as a power liftgate and a moonroof. The integrated navigation system and rear parking sensors are also available.
