2020 Mazda6 Trim Comparison: Grand Touring Reserve and Signature
The Mazda6 is something special. In a world overrun by crossovers, full-size trucks, and massive SUVs, the Mazda6 is a breath of fresh air. With its sleek design, roomy interior, and deceptively powerful engine, the Mazda6 is rare combination of elegance, poise, and raw capability. The question isn’t “Should I get a Mazda6,” but “Which Mazda6 should I get?”
Here’s our comparison for the top-tier 2020 Mazda6 Grand Touring Reserve and Signature trims. We’ll examine what each adds to the lineup below.
New Midsize Sedan near Milwaukee
There are two engines available on the 2020 Mazda6: a 2.5-liter Skyactiv-G four-cylinder engine and its turbocharged version. The Grand Touring Reserve and Signature trim have the 2.5-liter turbo-four. It pumps 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque (with premium fuel). All Mazda6 models have a six-speed automatic transmission and FWD. The Grand Touring Reserve and Signature trims inherit all the features from lower trims or have upgraded replacements for them. Some great features that carry over are an 8-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, an 11-speaker Bose audio system, a moonroof, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, and blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, alongside many, many more not mentioned here.
Grand Touring Reserve Features
The Grand Touring Reserve is similar to the top trim of many other vehicles on the market. It upgrades to genuine leather upholstery, adding ventilated front seats and heated rear seats. The front seats also see enhanced power-adjustability options. A heated steering wheel finds its way onto this trim. In the tech department, the Grand Touring Reserve gets a heads-up display and adaptive headlights.
The Signature trim pushes the Mazda6 into the realm of luxury vehicles. It features numerous safety improvements in the form of a surround-view parking camera system, front and rear parking sensors, and traffic sign recognition. The integrated navigation is also a welcome addition. The European-sourced Nappa leather upholstery is what really takes the Mazda6 Signature to the next level, though.
