Carbon Edition Features

The Carbon Edition is new for the 2021 model year. Like all the other CX-9 trims, it has a 2.5L turbo-four engine that can produce 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. It comes standard with FWD; AWD is available. It has everything from the Sport and Touring trims, including the Touring Premium package. It also adds heated second-row row seats, ventilated front seats, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, paddle shifters, a hands-free power liftgate, and a heated steering wheel. It gets multiple driver assistive features too, including a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, driver condition monitoring, reverse automatic emergency braking, and adaptive headlights.

Grand Touring Features

The Grand Touring offers almost exactly the same features as the Carbon Edition, with a few upgrades. It has standard integrated navigation, a surround-view parking camera system, and traffic sign recognition. Notably, the Grand Touring does not have standard captain’s chairs like the Carbon Edition, but they are available.

Signature Features

The top-tier Signature trim is all about luxury. It has every feature from every trim before it. It also adds premium Nappa leather upholstery, premium stitching for the steering wheel, aluminum accents, and genuine wood trim. The Signature trim also comes standard with AWD.
