The 2020 Mazda CX-30 has the 2.5-liter Skyactiv-G four-cylinder engine. It produces 186 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic. Unlike the Miata and Mazda3, there is no six-speed manual option. Both the Preferred and Premium trims have a FWD and AWD variant.
The Preferred and Premium trims come with all the features found on the Base and Select trims. Safety feature wise, that includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, low-speed automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, radar adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beams, rain-sensing automatic wipers, and a rearview camera. They both also have Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, proximity keyless entry, and dual-zone automatic climate control.
The CX-30 Preferred is the second highest trim, adding even more features to the CX-30. Other than the features listed above, it has a premium 12-speaker Bose audio system, satellite radio, heated front seats, and an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory settings.

The CX-30 Premium trim is the cream of the crop. Building on the features from the trims before it, the Premium trim adds leather upholstery, adaptive headlights, a heads-up display, a power liftgate, a moonroof, and paddle shifters.
