If you park your car outside or even just stay for a few hours at a friend or family member’s place, then you know the mad dash outside to quick start your car (that invariably fills your shoes with snow), turn on the defroster, and crank up the heat, followed by either running back inside so your car can warm up enough to scrape the snow and ice off of it or waiting in your frigid car, hoping your excessive shivering somehow vibrates the car into warming up faster. If snow is falling, then you have ample time to contemplate the upcoming trip, hoping the roads are fit for driving.
